BACBC Stewartship Campaign Celebration
Hello all, I think it’s time to bring everyone some updates. I’ll be switching and changing things around, just visit back soon =)
Here is another set of Party Shots, this time, my sister’s birthday party. Using An Alien Bee AB800 in a Westcott Softbox, with a white reflector placed right under the light. Fired off with “ancient” Pocket wizard Transceiver II. Can’t wait to try some TT5s. Until then, enjoy these images.

I’m going to start quoting things I see around the web that hits on topics that are on point and follow the same opinion I would have. There are times where other people would just take the words out of my mouth and so I would like to give them credit and a nod to them.
Tonight’s quote comes from DPreview, Kevin Dooley.
“Wedding photography is going through a very difficult time right now. The overwhelming number of new photographers at WPPI is a great example of an industry
that is becoming so over populated that its basic survival is in question. The unfortunate part is that the Bride is the one to really suffer. We all know that photographing weddings can be very stressful and very tiring. To give a bride unlimited time, can lead to poor photography, a worn out couple with a bad attitude, and a complete loss of profit for the photographer.
Because wedding photography used to be a good business with a reasonable income and it is changing to a highly competitive over saturated industry, it is heading for a huge bottoming out. Everyone will suffer including the clients.
In the meantime Get some albums on line from the cheap printing places and show the brides the difference. Compare them side by side and let the bride make a choice between quality and non quality. After all this is supposed to be the most important day of her life? some brides have no problem spending more money on a limo ride then the photography.
We as professionals need to start educating the brides about quality,Ask the bride these questions and see if she really wants unlimited time?
As for unlimited time, does the bride want the camera in her face for that many hours?
Will she burn out and will that have a negitive effect on all her images, expressions and attitudes?
Will the photographer become so tired that they will lose creativity and excitement.
Will there be so many images that the bride will not be able to build an album in any reasonable amount of time.
Will the guests be sick of the flashes going off in their faces.Soon we will be photographing weddings for free, So enjoy what ever income you can make for now.”
With the rain pouring down, not alot of people came out to show their wonderful cars. There were still new faces as the friends from EuroSunday Fresno made a trip to the Bay Area. Remember, rain or shine, come out and support the events that people take time to put together. Until next month, enjoy these pictures

If you start to hear some music while browsing the site, don’t worry, you aren’t going crazy. I started to add music to some of the galleries. although there’s no on and off button yet, just enjoy it when you are viewing the images. =)
It’s January 2009 and you know what that means, the latest EuroSunday event for the Bay Area. The year has started with a bang, everything from your uncommon Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and Lamborghini Gallardo, to your rare Vector M8 and Ferrari 599.

I never been to a cotillion before, but it’s not much different from a wedding. Lots of family and friends, gifts, table shots, dancing, speeches, and cake.
